Purdue Case Association
Overview
The Purdue Case Association is a student-led organization which organizes and prepares ambitious students to compete in business case competitions. Case competitions provide students with an opportunity to improve and utilize analysis and presentations skills. Students are required to analyze a business case in sometimes brief time frames ranging from hours to weeks, so mastering business frameworks for rapid use is crucial. Teams of three to four students then present their solutions to a group of judges representing industry-leading corporations, opening numerous doors to new opportunities for those involved.
Membership Levels/Incentives
As a member of the PCA, there are four membership levels: Member, Junior Analyst, Analyst, Senior Analyst. A student can ascend through these levels by earning points from case competition-related activities. Incentives of the various levels include networking dinners with judges and consultants, mentoring opportunities, access to templates and icon packs, and more. More detailed guidelines about points-bearing opportunities and resulting incentives is located on the PCA Blackboard.
How do I get involved?
There are numerous ways to get involved with case competitions. A student can compete with a team, help time or organize cases as part of the PCA team, attending workshops, and completing activities on the PCA blackboard course.
The first step to get involved is to visit the Purdue Case Association LinkedIn group and request to join. You will receive an email shortly afterwards with a link to sign up for the PCA Blackboard course where you will be able to access case resources, track incentives, collaborate with teams, and securely store and organize your case files. Upon successfully being added to the Blackboard course, you will be accepted into the Purdue Case Association as a member.
